A season-high five goals in 1st: NY 5, Montreal 1

           Did. Not. See, This. Coming.

With a 2-1 lead, the Rangers chased Carey Price with three goals in 1:07, first from Ryan Callahan on a blooper over the line that the review allowed, then Gaborik and Boyle.

Gaborik has four goals in the last four and Prospal, with an assist, has points in eight straight.

Barring an epic collapse, the Rangers should be tightening their hold on 7th place with 10 games to play. They will still be five points behind Montreal.

Anisimov, on a breakaway, and Girardi, on a one timer from above the right faceoff circle scored the first two.

Alex Auld is in for this injured and overwhelmed Habs team, which is 6-8 in the second game of back to backs.
