Across the Jersey line: Rangers in Newark to face Devils; White clears waivers again

According to Newsday's Arthur Staple, who is in Newark for the optional morning skate and then tonight's game (while I have an other off day before the road trip to Florida), Michael Del Zotto (groin) is skating. But as coach Tortorella said yesterday, he won't play against the Devils. Unsure whether he will be on plane sourh when Rangers leave tomorrow. NYR have taken just six D on multi-city roadies in past.

No word yet on yesterday's neurologist visit by Derek Boogaard, but assume he will not be on trip.

Todd White cleared waivers and may be headed to Hartford eventually. Folow me at twitter.com/stevezipay. AHL site notes D Lee Baldwin has been reassigned from Whale to ECHL Greenville, so there's room on roster. White, who is not in Newark, was 1-1-2 in 18 games since being acquired from Atlanta in the Brashear/Rissmiller deal in August. ...On Devs front, Brian Rolston may be claimed on reentry or swapped, according to Rich Chere of Star-Ledger
