Rangers' Barclay Goodrow could be good to go against Hurricanes

Rangers coach Gerard Gallant suggested Monday that injured forward Barclay Goodrow, out since Game 1 of the first-round playoff series against Pittsburgh, could return to the lineup at some point during the Blueshirts’ second-round series against the Carolina Hurricanes.
“He hasn’t skated yet, but we’re not counting him out for this series,’’ Gallant told reporters at the team’s practice facility in Greenburgh. “He’s not going to start the first couple games, but we’ll see how it goes.’’
Goodrow is listed as week-to-week with a lower-body injury, believed to have been suffered when he blocked a shot by Pittsburgh defenseman Mike Matheson with his left foot early in the second period of Game 1. Goodrow played the rest of the game, which went three overtimes, but missed the final six games of the series.
n Contracts reachedThe Rangers announced they have agreed to terms on entry-level contracts with forwards Adam Edstrom and Ryder Korczak and goalie Olof Lindbom.
Edstrom, 21, a 6-8, 225-pounder, was a sixth-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft. He signed a three-year deal after playing in 43 games with Rogle BK of the Swedish Hockey League in 2021-22.
Edstrom had seven goals and two assists, and in 13 playoff games, he had three goals and an assist. He also was part of Rogle’s title-winning Champions Hockey League team.
Korczak, 19, a third-round pick in 2021, played 68 games for Moose Jaw of the Western Hockey League, recording 25 goals and a team-best 54 assists.

Lindbom, 21, a second-round pick in 2018, played 27 games for Kristianstads IK of Sweden’s Hockey Allvenskan, the country’s second-division professional league. He went 10-15 with a 3.22 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage.
Edstrom and Korczak signed three-year contracts, the team said. Lindbom signed a two-year deal.
