Avery likely to move up, Drury back to center (Updated)

Not certain, but it appears that Dubinsky-Prospal-Gaborik will remain intact tonight against the Pens.

New fourth line likely will be Brashear-Boyle-Voros, assuming Avery-Drury-Cally; Higgins-Anisimov-Lisin are the other two...The coach didn't detail why Erik Christensen is out, simply saying he hasn't been "dead-on" and that he wants Brashear (scratched for four) in.

Tortorella said that when the Rangers "structure" collapses, they lose. "That's what we need, not run-and-gun....that's what I thought we had when we were 10-3-4 in 17, we will get back to that.." He added that there was no pattern or theme, say, when the Rangers fall behind quickly, to the "lack of structure".

G  Chad Johnson, who played two games for the Wolfpack this wekend, has not not yet been recalled from Hartford; Matt Zaba, who made 14 saves on 16 shots on Saturday in relief of Lundqvist., will be the backup tonight. In my mind, Johnson will play one of the three games out West, but Tortorella would not commit.

One other note: Larry Kelly, Ales Kotalik's agent, who was in London, called me back and insisted he knows nothing about any promotional events involving Kotalik (scratched again today). being cancelled, "and we haven't asked fro a trade or anything like that." This is why the internet has made the rumor mill even more unreliable.

And speaking of reliable, the torrential rain and wind today on the East Coast reminds me that I'm lucky not to be travelling until Thursday. Also answers questions from some readers who wonder why writers often fly to away games the night prior in January, Februay and March: It's not only to get to a morning skate; it eliminates the very real risk of not arriving in time to even cover the game.

Anyway, on to the Garden tonight, where I'll post some pregame stuff and open a thread, (game on Versus) but Chris Mascaro has volunteered to pinch-hit on the live blog during the game. I'll weigh in on Twitter and here for the usual post-game wrap.

One final note, FWC, the Fabulous Weekly Chat, goes live on Wednesday at 1 p.m. before the Rangers host the Hurricanes.
