After 8 games...
The lines at practice: Wolski-Christensen-Gaborik; Dubinsky-Richards-Callahan; Prust-Boyle-Fedotenko; Newbury-Anisimov-Stepan.
Remember, if you will, that the stated key reason they spent $60-mil on Richards was to help spark Gaborik. Hey, he does have four goals and an assist. Now Richards has to ignite Dubinsky?
Given the coach's track record, Richards and Gaborik will be back together at some point. Maybe not during the matinee with the Sens tomorrow, but izit a whiff of desperation?
16 goals in 8 games, so the coach wants to give the team "a jolt", and says he really doesn't like changing up lines so much. But, then again, last year he said numerous times that he like to be able to move people around. I don't mind it in the first 10 games, but ya gotta settle on something soon to give the players a chance...
Mike Rupp (knee) did not skate and neither did D Michael Del Zotto (hip flexor). Tortorella said DZ should be able to play tomorrow.
If Rupp needs to be IR'd, and/or if Christensen/Wolski doesn't work out in the top six, it might be time for Carl Hagelin or Zuke to be summoned and put in there on a line with Anisimov and Stepan....That's got some jump.
