Ryan Callahan, who didn't play in the third period Sunday after a collision with Zdeno Chara on a late secnd-period icing in Boston, was examined by a team doctor at the practice center today and is not expected to be out long-term, a spokesman said. "Just a day to day thing."
Callahan is the team's second-leading goal scorer.
Sean Avery, who also didn't practice today, was receiving treatment and might skate tomorrow, coach John Tortorella said. Avery, limping badly after the game, said he had been hit by a shot.
The Flyers were not as fortunate on the injury front. Jeff Carter is out three to four weeks with a foot fracture.
