Callahan puts NY ahead, 2-1, end of 2 in Raleigh

Ryan Callahan’s tip in with 13.8 seconds left on a power play was the only goal in the second. The assists came from Mats Zuccarello and Prospal for a 2-1 lead.

Lundqvist had been remarkable minutes before. Erik Staal picked up a Christensen turnover at the red line and broke in solo on Lundqvist, who stopped the puck with his left pad as Staal bowled him over. Staal then belted his brother, Marc with a high shoulder and Joni Pitkanen was whistled for holding at 19:14, creating a 5 on 3 for 31 seconds. That’s when Callahan struck with his 16th of the season. The power play had begin when Erik Cole was called for delay of game for clearing the puck with 2:14 left. The shots are 29-19, Rangers.
