Ce Soir: Les Habitants, Les Bleushirts and Les Youngbloods

That's about as far as my fractured French will take me today.  Thanks again for the invite to be on Montreal's The Franchise radio show this morning; fun crew there, always enjoy the repartee.

So, the news, in a manner of speaking:

Martin Biron flew back from Buffalo this morning after attending services for his wife's 96-year-old grandmother and will back up Henrik Lundqvist tonight. FWIW, Lundqvist was very sharp in the optional, denying Derek Stepan numerous times with the glove.

Brandon Prust left the optional skate (13 players) early, but told me he was good to go tonight.

For the first time this season, the Rangers will wear the dark blue Heritage jerseys from last season, minus the 85th anniversary patch.

Montreal has won four in a row, played last night, and there is some speculation about whether Carey Price or Peter Budaj will start. My guess? Price. Injured Scott Gomez still not practicing with team.

No update of MRI for Wojtek Wolski (groin), but Sean Avery is in

Have a feeling Brandon Dubinsky will get off the scoreless schneid this weekend. Matter of time playing with Richards, Callahan and on the PP.

Had a song stuck in my head all morning, "Sugarbabe", by Jesse Colin Young and the Youngbloods, so a dive into the Chez Zipay archives emerged with the album, yes, the classic wax on RCA,  "Earth Music".  Spinning now, stirring memories in the jar...

More from the Garden later. Torts meets the press at 4:50 p.m.
