The Rangers and Devils learned late Tuesday that the winner of their Eastern Conference final will meet the Kings for the Stanley Cup.
But most of the Devils said they were asleep by the time the Kings won Game 5 over the Coyotes in overtime.
And they certainly would not admit to looking ahead to the Kings - not with so much still to be done to get past the Rangers.
"There's still so much work we have to do, all we're thinking about is tonight's game not who's in on the other side," Zach Parise said.
Said Patrik Elias: "They're playing great hockey, obviously, but we'll worry about it when we get there."
Does it at least clarify the picture? "For them; they know they're there," Elias said. "For us, nothing. We haven't accomplished anything yet. There's no picture for us to be clarified."
Said Ilya Kovalchuk: "Good for them. I don't really care. Let's just think about tonight's game. We don't want to think too much ahead."
