The Empire State Building is going blue, red and white ... and orange and white.

To celebrate the Jan. 2, 2012 NHL Winter Classic, the building will light up Rangers colors on the east and west sides, and Flyers colors on the north and south sides.

The Rangers are streaking heading into the New Year. Winners of five straight, New York leads the Eastern Conference heading into Tuesday action. They are 22-8-4, good for 48 points.

Two points back are the Flyers; Philadelphia has won seven of its last 10, and is 21-9-4.

The Winter Classic kicks off at 1 p.m. at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
