Two years, with a $2.25 million annual cap hit.  is about right....

Hagelin, the speedy Swedish left wing, should be able to contribute to Alain Vigneault's offense once he's healthy following the rehab for shoulder surgery, especially on the forecheck....His legs are the key element to his game, and will continue to be, in his third NHL season.

The sling on his shoulder is expected to be removed in a few days, and he will be able to ramp up workouts, he told the team's website.

Hagelin could have opted for arbitration today---the deadline for eligible players to file is 5 p.m.---but settled to avoid what can be a testy process.

The Rangers now have less than $5 million to spend under the hard cap, and it's possible both Mats Zuccarello and Justin Falk will file before then.
