Some selected quotes from LW Chris Kreider, summoned after seven points in eight AHL games and on third line tonight vs. Panthers:

“Good to be back. I was playing big minutes in every situation; anytime you can do that, it helps your confidence.”

Asked if he was had been thinking about a recall: “It was not something I was really thinking about. I think I knew what I had to work on, it wasn’t just coming out (of checks) with the puck…it was producing for your linemates, using your legs…”

His linemates: “The right wings were shuffled but I was with (veteran center) Kris Newbury for most of the time down there.”

Added pressure on third callup? “You’d rather be under the microscope than the guy they don’t worry about, right? ’’
