Kris Newbury is back in blue again and will likely dress for tomorrow's game against Washington, as the Rangers continue to shuffle their roster.
Newbury, who played very well with Chris Kreider in Hartford, is also here because J.T. Miller is questionable with a sore left wrist, which could keep him scratched Sunday.
The team also needs a center, at least temporarily, with Jeff Halpern being claimed off waivers by Montreal.
So while the top two lines will presumably remain the same against the Caps, the bottom two will change. Brian Boyle will likely center one of them, Newbury the other, although Darroll Powe is a possibility; he's taken draws in the last few games.
The other wings would be Kreider, Arron Asham and Taylor Pyatt.
You'd think Kreider would be on the thrid trio, but with Newbury? Powe and Pyatt seem destined for the fourth. We'll see.
Don't know if Stu Bickel will clear waivers. A lot of teams are looking for D depth. But the Rangers used him about half the time as a spare forward, and he mentioned today that he wasn't getting the minutes he had last season and that his confidence had slipped.
