Live from MSG: Marian Gaborik out tonight

The Rangers leading scorer's right thigh is swollen from the deep gash he received from Henrik Lundqvist's skate after a collision in practice yesterday. John Tortorella said he hopes the swelling will be reduced enoguh for Gaborik to play against the Penguins in Pittsburgh Friday. It will be the third game he has missed this season.

Chris Drury will play in Gaborik's spot with Vinny Prospal and Erik Christensen.

Either Aaron Voros or Donald Brashear will play as well.

D Corey Potter is here, called up from Hartford yesterday, and  might play. Tortorella said some defensemen were dinged and that he would make a game-time decision. The coach did not say whether Potter would make the trip to Pittsburgh.

More in a few, and then swing back for game coverage here and on
