OK, the news from here at Pittsburgh’s Marriott City Center, where I can hear the bulldozers and heavy equipment continuing to demolish the old Igloo/Mellon Arena across the street.

Henrik Lundqvist will be in net tonight at CONSOL Energy Center; Marc-Andre Fleury for the Penguins.

Ruslan Fedotenko, who has missed the last five games after a blindside hit to the jaw from Tampa’s Dominic Moore, says he is feeling better and better, but was speaking with the trainers to determine whether he can play tonight. “It’s frustrating…one day you feel good, another day you don’t feel as good.”  He didn't specifically say the word "concussion" but talked about not having any time frame for returning, unlike say, a broken bone. The Rangers have never said Fedotenko sustained a concussion.

If Fedotenko doesn’t dress, it appears that defenseman Stu Bickel will step in again on the fourth line because Wojtek Wolski and Jeff Woywitka stayed on the ice for conditioning skates with the coaches and goaltender Martin Biron.

Sidney Crosby skated early this morning, but not with the team during the optional…Brooks Orpik is out for Penguins and Ben Lovejoy in. They also recalled Brad Theissen from Wilkes-Barre to back up Fleury with Brent Johnson sidelined.

Two reminders: For more updates and opinions, I’ll be a guest on Hockey Night in Canada radio with Gord and Cassie Tuesday at 4:35 p.m. (Sirius/157) and host a live chat Wednesday at 1 p.m. courtesy of Newsday. Go to
