It's warming up...

In the first game of the Alain Vigneault era, the Rangers are here in Glendale, Arizona to battle the Coyotes tonight.

The Blueshirts will skate at 11:30 am, (2:30 ET), so swing back for updates here, and of course, follow daily @stevezipay on Twitter.

Been attracting lots of new followers/readers as we begin what should be a fascinating season, with the new coaching staff, changes in the Garden, the two outdoor games in the Bronx, the new division (Metro) and playoff format, the Olympics....

Hope you caught my preview and five questions in Wednesday's editions and online and promise extensive coverage and commentary from here on out, including the rest of this road trip, which continues in LA, San Jose and Anaheim.

I've got the scorebook ready, eyes wide open and the Cali music racked up for the road...Join in, will ya?

And remember, feel free to email me anytime, steve.zipay@newsday.com.

But first, a morning skate and game night tonight...

Let's roll....
