Good Morning
Good Morning

Live from Washington: State of the Union, state of the Rangers

Morning all, arrived in D.C. after a wonderful Sunday 99 percent unplugged from the blog and twitter and the internet.  Highly recommended.

Stirring afternoon in Chappaqua yesterday in sixth row seats at a concert featuring Brahm's Requiem and other short pieces, conducted by Michael Conley, with two pianists (one who is in Ritchie Blackmore's band, David Baranowski) and a 90-voice chorale, including one very special soprano, my amazing wife.

Back home in time for most of the AFC Championship Game, and you know how that turned out,  friends and followers...

Anyway, onward to Arlington where Caps and your Rangers are practicing. We'll see if Brandon Prust (foot) and Dan Girardi (ribs) can go tonight at Verizon Center, where Wash is 16-5-5. Otherwise, Michael Del Zotto and Evgeny Grachev are here to jump in.

Swing back for reports here and on Twitter and, early warning, mark your cals and PDAs for our weekly live chat tomrrah at 2 p.m.
