Lundqvist, Gaborik, Girardi deserve All-Star recognition

We'll find out more on Thursday, but seriously, Henrik Lundqvist should be considered as MVP of the league for the first half. Marian Gaborik has been among the goal leaders all season and Dan Girardi stepped in smoothly for Marc Staal, who was an All-Star choice last season. The stats only tell part of the story. You had to marvel at these fellows every day, from practices to games.

Beware of the Sens tomorrow. In their second of four games in six days, the Rangers host Ottawa, which has been on a roll. 7-1-2 in the last 10 and just six points behind the Rangers.  yle Turris has been quite the contributor since arriving from Phoenix. And Erik Karlsson, the 21-year-old d-man who leads all blueliners in scoring with six goals and 41 points, is expected to play after sitting out Tuesday's game with an upper-body injury.
