Should there be some concern about the team's No. 1 goalie?
It's a little bit of a mystery, but I don't think so.
Ludnqvist was on ice here at the MSG Training Center for a few minutes before the team went on for pactice, wearing a t-shirt, shorts, socks and skates, and appeared to be testing his skates. not far from the bench, while the Zamboni cleaned the ice.
When asked about his absence for the second day, (Monday's reason was a "maintenacne day") a team spokesman said thew goalie was dealing with "a minor issue...he's day to day."
The Rangers do not play tomorrow; they will practice and then head to Philadlephia for Thursday's game.
It is unclear whether Lundvist will be available to the media after practice.
Ryan Callahan "broken thumb" is not skating, but is working out off-ice. His return is estimated to be several weeks away.
When I saw Assistant GM Jim Schoenfeld and GM Glen Sather walk by, I asked "What's the good word?" Schonefeld replied: "Win"; Slats said "Stay healthy".
The lines were slightly different form Monday, although the top line of Kreider, Stepan and Richards (on the right side) remained intact.
But Pouliot was with Brassard and Miller; Pyatt with Boyle and Fast, and Zuccarello alternating with Mashinter on the fourth line center by Dom Moore and with Dorsett on the right side.
