Second selection for Lundqvist, first for Staal.  No-brainer on Stepan. Congrats.

Wojtek (Wooly) Wolski's flight did not arrive in time for the optional and it is unclear whether he will play tonight against Montreal. He has been assigned No. 86. Won't know for sure until Tortorella speaks to press at 4:50.

Medical updates: Ryan Callahan, whose left hand was broken on Dec. 15, is to have another exam tonight, and hopes to be cleared to skate holding with a stick. He's been in full gear on the ice otherwise...Erik Christensen (knee) was at the training center walking stiffly with a brace. He's feeling better two weeks after the injury, has been resting and doing some initial rehab, including upper body work with the training staff. He said he was initially disappointed when he was hurt because "I feel like I'm fighting for ice time every game...My attitude is that I'm going to come back in better shape, stronger."
