Most reegulars take the day off for Rangers

Only a dozen players were on the ice at the MSG Training Center, so it was pretty sleepy. At least until Brian Boyle and Brandon Dubinsky took a few swings at one another, but both downplayed it afterwards.

John Tortorella and his squad face the Panthers tomorrow. Florida, two points ahead of the Rangers in this very premature playoff race, is 5-1-1 in its last seven.

The Rangers have lost three straight at home.
