The Leafs owners have buckets of dough. So does Neil Young, right? Ottawa's not broke is it?
Can we not afford a few worthwhile highway signs over heah in northern Ontario, fellas?
OK, so maybe it was because I was driving after a flight from NYC and a few hours sleep, but shutting down the entire QEW and shipping cars to routes AWAY from downtown Toronto where signage directing folks downtown was about as invisible as Olli Jokinen recently is ridiculous. "Farmland, 22 km" wasn't what the good doctor sought, ya know?
Eventually made it to my hotel after some "helpful" hints from gas station attendants posing as Wrong-Way Corrigan and discovered some nabes on the way that I might like to frequent the next time I come here---BY AIR!
Least I have an upgraded room and will steer back to Buffalo tomorrow post-game---construction projects, double parkers and loonies permitting.
Rant over....Zen again.
Back to hockey. P.A. Parenteau and vet D Andres Eriksson have been recalled from Hartford. Both could be in lineup against Leafs with Ryan Callahan and Brian Boyle hurting and Matt Gilroy seeing about two minutes each third period in the last week or so.
NYR skate at 11:30 AM tomorrow. I'm walking---happily---to the rink. Will report from there. Enjoy your Friday evening.
