No 1 pick Chris Kreider staying at BC

That's what the college announced. Rangers were really hoping he would turn pro, but the speedy forward, who missed the final part of his sophomore season with a broken jaw, is staying put. Kreider was the team's No. 1 pick in 2009 and was named the Rangers' top prospect by The Hockey News' recent Future Watch.

I'll have a story on Henrik Lundqvist up later and notes, lines and comments from Torts and other players after today's practice. They team will skate again tomorrow then leave for DC, and I will be shuttling south shortly afterward.

We're also scheduling a live chat from DC on Thursday, between games 1 and 2. Time TBA Wednesday. Get ready to jumpin, boys and girls.
