NYR prospects top Devs youngsters in OT, 5-4

A quick recap:

Jonathan Audy-Marchessault scored on a slap shot from inside the blue line that skipped past Devs G Maxime Clermont 16 seconds into overtime for the win in the afternoon game that precedes tonight's re-match in Newark.

Down 2-0 in the first, Ryan Bourque scored on a 5 on 3 and J.T. Miller pulled the Rangers within 1. Christian Thomas tied it at 3 before Bourque's second made it 4-3 early in the third period.

With Clermont pulled for an extra attacker, Darcy Zajac forced OT with a rebound with 25.3 seconds left in regulation.

Just speculating: Bourque and Miller likely bought themselves another game or two with their performances. First wave of cuts are tomorrow. The AHL's Connecticut Whale open camp Saturday and scrimmage Sunday.
