Following up on yesterday’s story about the Rangers season ticket holder who started a fundraising campaign for the Garden of Dreams foundation, having been inspired by a good deed from Adam Graves:
The season ticket holder, Jason Mayo of Bellmore, wrote a children’s book and is donating all the profits to the Madison Square Garden children’s charity. He did so after Graves hosted Mayo and his friend Rich Einhorn in a luxury suite two years ago (when Einhorn’s cancer left him feeling “horrible”).
Mayo’s book, “Do Witches Make Fishes?” is available at www.authorhouse.com.
After he read his book to children at Rusk Institute of NYU Medical Center—with Graves and Einhorn present---Mayo mentioned that, in the spirit of “paying it forward,” his nine-year-old daughter set up a lemonade stand during a block party. She grossed $19 and gave all of it to her dad to be presented to the Garden of Dreams.
