Of course, that's not what the Blueshirts want, just one, but two points against the Hudson River rivals tonight at MSG. Even though coach John Tortorella insisted that he's not thinking about home ice advantage---more about momemntum going into the post-season---it's certainly clear that the Rangers would be better off with the No.1 seed in the East, rather than 4 or 5.
Artem Anisimov (left shoulder) participated in practice this morning at the Garden (Devils skated in NJ), but seemed a little limited in his upper body movements, and in fact, Tortorella later said he was out tonight, and still day to day. As expected, an as I wrote yesterday for today's preview, Henrik Lundqvist is in goal, and the other scratches appear to be Steve Eminger (injured), Anton Stralman, John Scott and Jeff Woywitka.
The lower practice lines were shuffled, with Brian Boyle centering Mats Zuccarello and John Mitchell, and Brandon Prust and Ruslan Fedotenko (at center) on a fourth trio with Mike Rupp. Who knows if that's the way it'll remain, but the third line has a little more scoring potential than before.
Michael Del Zotto said his hip was feeling far better, and indeed, Tortorella praised DZ's joining the rush in the Colorado game. Del Zotto, a lefty, also said playing on the right side with Marc Staal wasn't an issue.
