Rangers 1, Kings 1, end of 2

After Derek Stepan managed a one-handed shot at Jonathan Bernier, Ryan Callahan swatted the bouncing rebound of Bernier’s shoulder in to tie the score at 1 at 4:01 of the second period. Artem Anisimov had won a faceoff to start the play. It was Callahan’s 15th fo thes eaosn and third in two games.

The Rangers fought off two power plays, first when Michael Del Zotto was sent off for tripping at 8:54 and then Brandon Dubinsky for goaltender interference, although it appeared he was pushed into Bernier. Callahan starred on the second penalty kill, blocking two shots, one without his stick, and throwing checks before retrieving the lumber.
