Rangers 2, Flyers 0 after 1

Two goals by Ryan Callahan, the first at 51 seconds on a backhand pass in front from Brandon Dubinsky, and some emphatic play by the Rangers, who exit the ice to a standing ovation, leading 2-0 and in shots 14-7.

In one of the better opening periods in a while for the Rangers (wearing home whites), Callahan's second, at 12:58,  came on a quick wrister that popped the water bottle off the cage behind Brian Boucher, who was caught leaning. Derek Stepan almost made it 3-0, but hit the left post in the final minute.

For Callahan it's his third two-goal game of the season, and 10th of his career. He has15 points in 16 games.

Some wildly inconsistent calls from the refs. A Philly trip when it appeared that two Rangers collided. No call on Jody Shelley when he smashed Gilroy in the face along the boards. 17 minutes for Boyle for standing up to Shelley, who got just five. A make up call on Richards for supposedly slashing Lundqvist.
