Rangers open 2012-13 season against the Kings

The Rangers will open up with eight games on the road to start the 2012-13 season, including a season-opener against the Stanley Cup-champion Kings.

The NHL released full schedules for each team Thursday afternoon.

The Rangers-Kings game is on Oct. 12 at 10:30 p.m. EST. Three days later, the Rangers take on the Sharks at 10:30 p.m. before returning to the East Coast to face the Devils in New Jersey on Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m.

Dallas comes to the Garden on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. for the Rangers home opener. That is followed by home games for the Rangers against the Flyers (Nov. 4), Senators (Nov. 6) and Wild.

The Isles and Rangers first meet up on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. in Nassau Coliseum.
