The Rangers won't have to travel very far when their preseason schedule begins.

Three of their six September games announced Thursday are at Madison Square Garden and they also play one each in New Jersey, Philadelphia and Boston.

The Blueshirts host the Devils in their preseason opener on Monday, Sept. 21 and visit the Flyers the next night. On Sept. 24, the Rangers visit the Bruins and then they travel to Newark to play the Devils on Sept. 26th.

The schedule concludes with home games against the Flyers on Monday, Sept. 28 and the Bruins on Wednesday, Sept. 30. The NHL is expected to announce the entire regular-season schedule sometime next week.
