Four Rangers goals in a 6:19 stretch of the third period shocked the Penguins tonight, as the Blueshirts rallied from a 1-0 deficit for their first regulation win against Pittsburgh in the last 12 games. The Rangers are now 12-5 on the road.
After defeating Washington, and now Pittsburgh, two of the elite teams in the East in the last four days, the Rangers (19-13-1)are gaining confidence. But the long-term news is not good. Ryan Callahan, the gritty winger who is one of the leaders of the club, will miss about six weeks (according to the initial diagnosis) after blocking a Kris Letang shot in the first period.
