Ron Duguay will not return as a hockey studio analyst for MSG this season, the network confirmed on Thursday. Duguay, 61, a Ranger in the 1970s and '80s, had served in that role for the past 12 years.
"We would like to thank Ron for his contributions to MSG Networks over the years, and wish him all the best moving forward," an MSG spokesman said in a statement.
Duguay thanked viewers on Twitter, posting, "Thx for your support,I've truly enjoyed the last 12 years being a face and voice for the @NYRangers fans!!!"
Steve Valiquette will return as a studio analyst for Rangers games in 2018-19. MSG will hire a new analyst to join him.
