The Wrap: Stats and miscellany

             Ten extra notes:

Pens hit three posts: Kunitz, Michalek, Crosby

Prust keeps battling, took on Michael Rupp, his 10th fight of the year.

Gaborik's goal was his fifth. He had three shots in 21:45. He was on ice for the first two Pens goals.

Rangers outshot Pens 8-6 in the first.

Rozsival's assist was his seventh. He played 24:54 in his second game back after missing nine with a sprained right shoudler and achy right knee.

Artem Anisimov played just nine minutes, with no shots. He and Todd White and Sean Avery were on ice for Conner's goal.

Del Zotto played 25:01 and made a huge slide to break up a Crosby-led 2 on 1 in the second period.

Rangers actually won 52 percent of the faceoffs, but still didn't seem to have the puck enough. Crosby was 14 of 19 in faceoffs though.

As Tortorella said, Pens defended well, but Rangers couldn't finish in front. Too many shots wide.

Evgeny Malkin had six of Pens 27 shots.

Rangers are off tomorrow, return to practicve Wednesday. But no fear, I'm working, and don't forget our 2 p.m. live chat
