Rangers at .500 for last time

Adam Graves scored with 10 seconds remaining to lift the Rangers to a 3-3 tie with the Montreal Canadiens before 17,811 at Madison Square Garden. The tie put the Rangers record at 5-5-1, the final time in a Stanley Cup-winning season they were at the .500 mark as they won their next seven games. Sergei Zubov brought the Rangers within one at 3-2 with a power-play goal with 5:30 remaining. The Rangers outshot the Canadiens, 42-26.
