Thoughts from Monday A.M. scrimmage

The Wolski-Richards-Gaborik line---which dominated yesterday's festivities here in Westchester---produced just one goal against Henrik Lundqvist today. Wolski put in a rebound of a Gaborik shot for one of two Red goals in a 3-2 loss to the White team.

Brian Boyle, playing on a line with Ruslan Fedotenko and big Andre Deveaux, a free-agent signee (in resting Brandon Prust's old spot) scored his third goal in two games just one shift after he limped off after a Gaborik shot bounced off his ankle. Fedotenko also scored, as did Kris Newbury and Tommy Grant, who roofed one up close past Lundqvist.

Tim Erixon continued his poised and smart play on D; Dale Weise looked pretty good, skating with Ryan Bourque and Audy-Marchessault... Deveaux landed some early punches when he and Stu Bickel dropped the gloves behind the net in the first fight on camp...Second scrimmage (with vets such as Sean Avery and Erik Christensen on lines with some of the youngsters....hmmm) at 1 p.m.

And another reminder: #Rangers fans will see more coverage from @NewsdaySports this season. Our sports site is somewhat open again.  Check it out.
