Three key Rangers questions entering training camp

Who centers the third line?

With Derek Stepan and Derick Brassard as the top two centers, the opening night roster will revolve around this: If it's determined that J.T. Miller is more effective at left wing, then the spot opens for returnee Dominic Moore or Matt Lombardi. That opens a fourth-line role for the other, or perhaps Kevin Hayes or Oscar Lindberg.

Who are the fourth-line wingers?

If it's determined that Rick Nash plays the left side with Stepan and Martin St. Louis, and the second line is Chris Kreider, Brassard and Mats Zuccarello, Carl Hagelin would be third-line left wing. That leaves one spot open for a fourth-line left wing and two on the right side. Lee Stempniak, Jesper Fast and Danny Kristo are righties; Ryan Malone, Tanner Glass, Hayes and Ryan Haggerty lefties. Will Alain Vigneault want a center or wing as a 13th forward?

Who's the seventh defenseman?

Mike Kostka, a righty, is a little bigger than Matt Hunwick, but Hunwick has far more NHL games under his belt.
