The 21-year-old Czech d-man, who has this year and another left on his entry level contract, (drafted in 2008) is off to the AHL's Hershey Bears. He only played in seven games this season for the Whale after being an early cut in training camp in Westchester. Sounds disenchanted.
Rangers have a lot of young D in front of him on Broadway, and Tim Erixon and Pavel Valentenko in the AHL and Dylan McIlrath in juniors. Anton Stralman, who knows?
Bouchard, a 23 year old right wing, is the younger brother of the Wild's Pierre-Marc Bouchard. Skilled one on one, had 125 points one year in junior, but has a rep of being inconsistent in long stretches and not exactly committed to defense. He's making $770,000 this year and then is RFA. Played last four years in Hershey, and was on two Calder Cup winners. Might be one of those deals that's good for both players.
