Tortorella: Drury will play Friday

"He's in," the Rangers coach said when I asked him about the captain's status. "He'll play Friday."  Tortorella hedged on where the veteran center might play, but it seems logical that he slip between Gaborik and Frolov on the No. 1 line, where he practiced today.

Torts did acknowledge that putting Drury, who has been out with a broken index finger since Sept. 20, on the No. 1 line would mean that he doesn;t ahve to tinker with the second and third  lines, which he described as "playing very well"

Erik Christensen, whom Drury would replace, said his right thigh/groin was feeling better, but wasn't sure whether he would skate tomorrow.

The move makes sense to me, Drury is fresh and looked as if he wants to make  a difference.

As for the D, the top four are set, but the 5th and 6th D-pair is "fluid", the coach said....
