Two shorties: Rangers 1 , Senators 1 after 2

With Jesse Winchester off, Chris Kelly scored unassisted at 4:27 after Derek Stepan couldn't handle the bouncing puck at the point on the PP. It was the Sens first goal in 202.57.

Ruslan Fedotenko was whistled for high-sticking at 9:47, and the Rangers responded with a man down. At 10:50, Brandon Prust scooted down the right side as Marc Staal came down the middle with Erik Karlsson back and Prust's high glove shortsider tied it at 1.  Boyle got the puck to Prust for his 2nd assist of the season. It was Prust's second goal in three games. Leclaire made a big stop on Staal at the doorstep moments later.

But two non-calls on Marian Gaborik, the second on a breakaway when Milan Michalek slashed him from behind and the Rangers right wing went down and crashed into Leclaire, roused the crowd into heavy booing.

Rangers had 13 shots in 2nd, so each team has 18 after 40 minutes.
