That's the top story on today's agenda, brought to you by Newsday colleague Barbara Barker, who attended practice as I cover some other bases today..

Barker notes that Prospal, who missed seven games following a right knee 'scope Dec. 28, skated on the first line with Marian Gaborik and Erik Christensen, while Brandon Dubinsky dropped to left wing on the second line with Chris Drury and Ryan Callahan.  Sean Avery, at least for practice, was on the right side of Artem Anisimov and Chris Higgins. And four wingers (Ales Kotalik, Enver Lisin,Donald Brashear and Aaron Voros) rotated around C Brian Boyle on line rushes..

Also, Chris Drury preferred not to discuss today's upcoming presser in which Team USA's captain and alternates will be named, saying a C or an A would be an added honor. Barbara's all over that as well so check her on later.  I'll be back asking questions and banging on the keys tomorrow.

Let's see, what else, Blue Noters, hmmm...

Chad Johnson, if he's on the Hartford shuttle as we speak after playing in yesterday's 2-1 win, will back up Henrik Lundqvist...If not, it's Matt Zaba...In other Wolfpack news, Dale Weise, 21, who should get a long look at training camp, is heating up with five goals in four games, and was named AHL Player of the Week...

Tomorrow's game will be televised by Versus, so those of you with DirecTV are SOL again, thanks to the dispute between the two. Kenny Albert and Dave Maloney on the radio are a fine listen, of course, but this battle over fees continues to black out  tens of thousands of metro area hockey fans. Settle it already fellas, huh?

One thing that won't be blacked out is our live FWC (Fabulous Weekly Chat), skedded for 1 p.m. Tuesday right here, so be forewarned. Take some time out of your busy lives to schmooze...

Know I'm late to the convo on this, but after being awed by  "Avatar", having a difficult adjustment to a 2D cinema/TV/internet life again. Bring on the next dimension, techies.

And finally, happy birthday, Robert Earl Keen.

I was born in the wintertime underneath a purple sky
Packed my things at seventeen and kissed my folks goodbye
Got no complaints, no regrets, I got no grand design
I'll ride the horse that brought me here
'Till I cross that finish line
Never been no daytime guy, love the neon light
I'm an amber eye, a coyote's cry
Runnin' with the night
I'm a wall of fire, an angel choir
Runnin' with the night…
