Another sunny day here in Vancouver, with a seaplane, leaving a wake, angling into the air toward the mountains as a puffy line of low, opaque fog marches across the bay, briefly enveloping some small ferries. Quite the Kodak moment. Finishing up some coffee and will be off to the morning skates shortly.
Quick hits: Expecting a Roberto Luongo (2-0, 1.50 against the Rangers as a Canuck) matchup with Henrik Lundqvist....The Canucks will honor the late Rick Rypien, who played parts of six seasons here, with a video tribute and pre-game on-ice presentation. Puck to drop 7:15 PT...That should have the Rogers Arena crowd at an emotional peak, as should the return of Selke winner Ryan Kesler, who is scheduled to play on a line with Smithtown native Chris Higgins...Grinder Dale Weise, waived by the Rangers last month, is expected to play his sixth consecutive game...
