LW Wojtek Wolski, who didn't finish Sunday's game after pulling a rib muscle, received treatment and didn't practice today, but told me as he was walking out of the training room that he was feeling better and would skate tomorrow in preparation for Thursday's Kings game.
Without Wolski, and Brandon Dubinsky for the first half of practice (Dubinsky returned for power-play practice), the lines were scrambled. Gaborik, who went down in a heap in the corner at one point, causing concerned players to skate over before he climbed up and resumed play, was with Prospal and Zuccarello. The Norwegian winger also took Wolski's place on the PP point with Staal, Gaborik, Prospal and Callahan.
Boyle was skating between Avery and Callahan. Christensen joined a line with Stepan, Prust and Anisimov. On defense, it appeared that Steve Eminger was rotating with the third pair.
Prust, who was wearing an ice pack on his wrist, also took a puck off the left knee. On his way to a team meeting, he said he was fine.
Will be speaking with Tortorella after the meeting. Stay tuned.
Spoke with Martin Biron about the boost from the defeat of the Penguins and the residual effect with a couple days off and them three in four days. More on that and Torts soon....
