The Leafs' sell-off is in full swing, with Toronto getting back into the first-round by dealing Kris Versteeg to the Flyers for Philly's first and third-round picks.
Of course, the Leafs will be picking a few spots lower than they'd like, seeing as how their first-rounder, a sure lottery pick, is in the Bruins' hands for the second straight year. But the Leafs are in full rebuild mode now, and Tomas Kaberle seems a sure bet to waive his no-trade clause before the Feb. 28 deadline.
Perhaps now that the Leafs have a first-rounder, Brian Burke won't ask for the moon from Glen Sather for Kaberle. Doubtful, but you never know.
The Flyers now can't afford any injuries, as they are snug up against the cap. They're also within shouting distance of next year's cap, which means potential UFA Ville Leino, one of the revelations of this season, is almost sure to be wearing a new jersey next season.
Keep an eye on him as July 1 rolls around.
