FIRST: War Eagle’s Return makes a quick return after winning this past Sunday; pairs up. Arbitrator is speedy and riding a two-race winning streak; dangerous. Going Strong never got going in the mud last time but owns fast numbers on best efforts; don’t ignore.

SECOND: Wushu Warrior adds blinkers and drops after speed and fade in debut; enhanced staying power today. Theresa’s Boy was a tough-trip second last time; worth long look. Surprise Wonder is training with a purpose for first start since May; likely underlay.

THIRD: Short Kakes bested a next-out victor when winning last by two lengths; more to come. Decorator Jenn was a fast-figured second in last; dangerous. Tasteful is right in the thick of this on best efforts.

FOURTH: Asphalt Paving owns a stalker’s style that could be well served in competitive field. Northern is speedy and will prove very tough on a soft lead. Shoe Loves Shoe also is fleet-footed and should be tighter in second start since 11-month layoff.

FIFTH: Lady Vicki regressed in last start after fast-figured third in debut; rebounds. Lady Moyne gets Lasix after failing to deliver on heavy tote support in debut; dangerous. Forever Daisy returns to dirt and cuts back to sprint; amplified kick expected.

SIXTH: My Perfect Gem is riding a forward line on the numbers and should offer generous ticket. Polar City regressed as the favorite last time after top-figured win in previous start; bounce-back threat. Driven West owns speed, fast numbers and hails from Jason Servis stable; if chalk is your game.

SEVENTH: We Did was a useful fifth in first start since four-month absence last out; forward move predicted. Jewel Can Disco is speedy and owns swift numbers; logical, short-priced player. Cerretalto logged hard-charging victory in only start on Big A loam; must be considered.

EIGHTH: California Night has trained sharply since front-running score in debut; ready for prime time. Firenze Fire is 4-for-6 and packs potent late kick; paltry price is the problem. Avery Island is working impressively at Palm Meadows base; right in the thick of intriguing Withers.

NINTH: Tammany Giant adds blinkers and gets favorable cutback to sprint; close call in wide-open nightcap. Daring Destiny makes first dirt start for white-hot Linda Rice barn; big-time player. Catapult Jack owns 11 seconds from 22 starts; always a runner-up. Pimm’s Cup is speedy and must be given a puncher’s chance at juicy odds.
