Steve Matthews’ Aqueduct selections for Friday, March 16

Best Bet: AREWEHAVINGFUNYET (2); Best Value: DR LUBER’S KISS (6)

FIRST: Two Swords ships in from Maryland for Mike Trombetta after earning solid numbers in three starts at Laurel; ready for prime time. Tilt runs late and should benefit from stretchout to 1 1/8 miles; dangerous. Freeze the Account displayed improved speed in last; price will be tempting.

SECOND: Arewehavingfunyet gets confident price boost after logging swift late-pace figure when winning last; more to come. Midnight Bounty exits speed-and-fade effort versus pricier group last time; very interesting. Expressly was a front-running winner in last and owns faster back numbers; right in the thick of this.

THIRD: Indian Soldier makes peak start of from cycle and should pack intensified wallop with slight cutback to 6 furlongs. Blame Us All owns swift internal and final numbers and could play out as the controlling speed. Joy Drive drops two class levels for Linda Rice; easily could take this.

FOURTH: Very Very Stella visually and numerically impressed when winning last; pairs up. Still Krz is fleet-footed and owns fast figures; big-time, front-end threat. True Timber was a clear-cut winner in last and fired crisp half-mile work in the interim; very dangerous.

FIFTH: Have Another notched swift final fraction when unleashing strong late kick to win last; more to give in first start for Brad Cox. Imasuperstar is speedy and could play out as the controlling front-runner on the fence. Blue Belt also is quick from the gate and makes first start for Rudy Rodriguez; must be factored into the mix.

SIXTH: Dr Luber’s Kiss tallied improved pace and final figures when a solid third in last start; call based on price in contentious group. Too Fast to Pass owns swift numbers but takes suspicious price plunge in second start since claimed; damaged goods? Going Strong could be going strong in the stretch if fractions get hot and hectic; worth long look.

SEVENTH: Loki’s Vengeance compiled a bullet-riddled work tab for first start since November; primed and ready. Wake Up in Malibu owns speed, fast figures and gets favorable cutback to sprint; very dangerous. Angry Moon exits fast-figured placings in last two starts; must consider.

EIGHTH: Blugrascat’s Smile is fresh and could be ideally positioned in the stalker’s seat; rates close call. Taoiseach made strong late run when a game second in last; more to come in third start since layoff. Colorado Grandslam projects as the main speed on the rail; very dangerous.

NINTH: Power Boss makes first start with maiden-claiming tag after notching improved pace figure in last; good spot for graduation. The Chamo has finished third in last two starts and now makes third outing since eight-month absence; very playable. Curlin’s New Moon regressed in last start after fast-figured second in previous race; bounce-back threat. Pragmatist was a tough-trip fourth last time; don’t ignore.
