Best bet: GOOD OLD BOY (9)

Best value: HALLOWEEN HORROR (6)

FIRST: Tiz No Bluff is speedy, rested and gets class relief; call in weak opener. La Cat Warrior was a late-running second in last; dangerous. Slot is fleet-footed and adds blinkers; big-time, front-end threat.

SECOND: Paranoia is riding a forward line on pace and final figures; breakthrough predicted. Impazible Creek could impact if fractions get hot and hectic; price will be tempting. Velvet Trinni is a front-running player on best efforts.

THIRD: Mr. Buff has worked three times since fast-figured, wire-to-wire win last month; more to come. Point to Remember is another that has trained sharply since winning last; very playable. Transistor owns a win and a third in two starts at Belmont Park; must consider.

FOURTH: Mr Maybe logged swift late-pace figure when fifth versus pricier field last time and hails from streaking John Toscano stable. Tusk has worked three times since claimed last month; very interesting. Fox Rules is speedy and can prove very tough on a soft lead. On dirt: Sir Ballantine.

FIFTH: Tammany Giant notched improved internal and final numbers when a clear-cut second on dirt last time; handles any footing. Lem Me Tel Ya makes first start with maiden-claiming tag; more than good enough on "A" game. Causforcelebration could be in the garden spot if pace meltdown ensues.

SIXTH: Halloween Horror turns back to 6 furlongs and should pack intensified late kick; 3-furlong bullet last week seals the deal. Imasuperstar is fresh and could be ideally positioned in the stalker's seat; very dangerous. Alright Alright is swift and drops but has been sidelined since April; must take the good with the bad.

SEVENTH: Unsullied was compromised by poor start when a better-than-it-looks fourth in last; breakthrough predicted. Ready to Escape is another that fell victim to bad getaway in last; dangerous. Bourbon N Rye was dueled into defeat in useful debut; must be factored into the mix.

EIGHTH: Black Tide is laser quick from the gate and fired 5-furlong bullet drill since last start; main speed. Profiteer packs potent late wallop and looms the prime beneficiary if top selection hits the wall in the stretch. Blacktype is another that could be in the garden spot if pace meltdown ensues.

NINTH: Good Old Boy displayed improved late kick in last and should be aided by Thursday's added ground. Time Expired drilled three times since hard-charging second in last; main danger. No Worries Mate adds blinkers and worked two times since last start; improvement expected. Straitouta Congtin regressed in last after solid third at 73-1 in prior; rebound threat.
