Steve Matthews’ Aqueduct selections for Friday, March 3

Best bet: OUR KARMA (8)

Best value: SAY CIN CIN (6)

FIRST: Dhamaan compiled seven tight works since claimed by David Jacobson on New Year’s Day; primed and ready. Jamie’s Jammin should move forward after even fifth in debut; very interesting. Southern Union should be aided by cutback to 6 furlongs; right in the thick of this.

SECOND: Fielding Gold was a front-running maiden winner in last; main speed once again. Ballivor could be ideally positioned in the stalker’s seat if top selection hits the wall in the stretch. Proud Zip owns early zip and fast back figures; don’t ignore.

THIRD: Unrepented took backward step in last after fast-figured win in prior; bounces back today. Jc’s American Dream is working sharply for first start in seven weeks; more than good enough on “A” game. Krista’s Persona owns sprinter’s speed and rates a puncher’s chance at juicy ticket.

FOURTH: Sir Temple City adds blinkers and makes first start since gelded and could be sitting on wake-up at fat price in weak field. Buddy Anthony owns speed and starts from the fence; dangerous. Correjon debuts for Rudy Rodriguez; follow the money.

FIFTH: New York Bourbon wheels back in a hurry after game placing this past Saturday; more to give. Giant Ending returns to maiden claiming ranks after displaying improved speed in last. Flatterfly runs late and could be aided by today’s added ground.

SIXTH: Say Cin Cin was pace and position compromised when third to a repeat winner in last; set for best in third start of form cycle. Cotton Candy Cutie was a clear-cut winner in most recent outing and now makes first start since claimed by Rodriguez; very dangerous. On the List broke maiden at Parx last time out; must consider.

SEVENTH: Miss Amalita made sustained rally when a determined winner in last; crisp 3-furlong drill on Feb. 18 seals the deal. Atlantis Romance is speedy and makes peak start of form cycle; big-time, front-end threat. Bombshell regressed in last outing after logging two seconds and a win in prior three starts; don’t ignore.

EIGHTH: Our Karma makes quick return after fast- paced and final-figured placing Saturday; more to give. Chico Grande is fleet-footed and could prove very tough on an unchallenged lead. Tipit should pack intensified late kick with cutback to 6 furlongs; price will be tempting. Tricky Posse could impact if fractions get fast and furious.
