Steve Matthews’ Aqueduct selections for Friday, Nov. 11

Best Value: MADDIZASKAR (5)

FIRST: Causeway Cutie is training with a purpose for first start since June; takes this on “A” effort. Smart Alex is speedy and gets surface switch and distance relief; very dangerous. Beverly Mine was second to a repeat, much-the-best winner in last; must be considered.

SECOND: Argyle Gal made forward move on the numbers when a hard-charging maiden winner in last; more to come. Dream On logged fast-figured win in most recent dirt start; half-mile bullet last week adds to appeal. Fly Ash would be aided by pace meltdown.

THIRD: Silver Ride is riding a two-race winning streak; 5-furlong bullet on Nov. 1 seals the deal. Unbridled Juan never has been off the board in all 13 starts but has failed as the favorite in last three outings; mixed message. Fabulous Kid regressed in last after fast-figured second in previous start; rebound threat.

FOURTH: Port More drops and is improving with every start; breakthrough predicted. Ecliptical Jack also gets class relief and should move forward in second start since two-month layoff. Hammers Thirsty is fresh, gets Lasix and sheds the blinkers; very interesting.

FIFTH: Maddizaskar is 1-for-1 on Big A sod and notched rapid late-pace figure when third in last; more to come. Indian Starlight never had a chance in last and should move forward in second start since five-month absence. Amber Morning made very wide run to grab fourth in first start in more than a year; worth long look. Queenofthechannel is riding a two-race winning streak; right in the thick of this.

SIXTH: Cornedbeefandcabbage owns a running style that should be aided by stretch to one-turn mile. Tea and Cricket is rested, owns fast figures and is training consistently; very dangerous. Vilma also is fresh and could prove very tough on an unchallenged lead.

SEVENTH: Annie Rocks tallied improved final fraction when winning third in a row last time; keeps on giving. Kentucky Road failed to fire on soft ground last time; return to firmer footing is key. Shiawassee was a game second behind a clear-cut winner in last; right in the thick of this.

EIGHTH: Los Borrachos packs a potent late kick and should be ideally positioned in contentious field. Mewannarose was an ultra-game second at this level in last; very playable. Eighty Three owns a win and a third in two starts at Aqueduct but shows no listed works for first outing in 132 days; handle with care at short odds.

NINTH: Empty House logged three tight works since tough-trip seventh in lone grass start; forward move predicted. Super Mama has failed as the favorite in both starts but has worked with a purpose in the interim; must consider if able to escape AE list. Unbridledadventure displayed improved speed in last; worth long look at long price. Louisiana Lady owns sprinter’s speed and could prove very tough on a soft lead. Cha Cha Heels was a clear-cut second in last; logical, short-priced threat.
