Steve Matthews’ Aqueduct selections for Thursday, Feb. 4

Best Value: STARAGO (4)

FIRST: Chromark is riding a forward line on pace and final figures and logged three tight works since last start. The Great Whiteway owns fast numbers and drops; dangerous. No Entiendo is speedy and hails from Rudy Rodriguez barn; no-brainer.

SECOND: Dr Luber’s Kiss could be ideally positioned behind “suspect” front-runner. Big Band Benny is speedy but has lost ground in the stretch in every start; handle with care. Laugh Love Live debuts for capable first-out stable; don’t ignore.

THIRD: Marriage Fever was a tough-trip fourth in last after determined win in prior; rebounds. Mordi’s Miracle owns sprinter’s speed and should be favorably positioned near the front; dangerous. Winter Games has never been off the board in five starts on winter surface; must consider.

FOURTH: Starago lost all chance after bad start last time but tallied solid late pace and final figs when second in prior; bounces back today. Think wheels back in a hurry after stumbling out of the gate this past Friday; very dangerous. Memory Keeper, another that was done in by poor getaway in last, looms a front-running threat on best.

FIFTH: Howl compiled tight work tab for first start since gelded; potent late wallop at 6 furlongs. Chelios makes first start since claimed by Danny Gargan; big-time player. Coaches Challenge is fresh and a front-running threat on ‘A’ game. Bird Prince is another that owns speed and is right in thick of this on best.

SIXTH: Pegasus Storm made late run in sprint debut and could be aided by today’s added ground. Show Giant is speedy and could prove very tough on a soft lead; dangerous. Boomerang Becky has finished second in last two starts; logical player.

SEVENTH: Yourcreditisgood made sustained rally when breaking maiden last out; pairs up wins. Quibbler was freshened after front-running maiden score on Dec. 18; dangerous. Regifting could impact at fat ticket if pace meltdown ensues.

EIGHTH: Crazy Love was a front-running third at 53-1 last time and could play out as the speed of the speed with aggressive ride. Here Comes Rosie owns fast final fractions on best efforts and could be in the garden spot if fractions get hot and hectic. Storm Cell is fleet-footed and starts from the fence; must consider.

NINTH: Ducks Dock was rested after hard-charging score at Prx in December; call based on price in wide-open nightcap. Loose Money drops after speed and fade in last; very playable. National Buck’s speed and rail draw must be respected. Vancouver is another fleet-footed runner that must be factored into the mix.
