Steve Matthews’ Aqueduct selections for Wednesday, Nov. 9

Best Bet: LORD OF LOVE (6)

Best Value: ROOFTOP VIEW (4)

FIRST: Roman Revival drops after regressing in last; controlling speed with aggressive ride. Too Wild to Repent could be in the garden spot if top selection hits the wall in the stretch. Patton Proud is fresh and owns fast figures on “A” game.

SECOND: Foreign Affair logged solid final fraction in debut; needs scratches to escape AE list. Bellavais has tallied swift late-pace figures in both starts; very dangerous. Ormolu Lu could make forward move in second career start; price should be generous. Okinawa makes turf debut for Chad Brown; need more?

THIRD: Saratoga Charlie logged crisp 5-furlong drill for first start in seven weeks; call in weak maiden field. Read the Dream could be ideally positioned if pace meltdown ensues. Hopper Dropper should improve with return to dirt; price will be tempting.

FOURTH: Rooftop View was pace compromised when a better-than-it-looks third in last; breakthrough predicted. Mr. Magic drops after being done in by scorching splits last time; dangerous. Idiosyncratic owns fast numbers but has failed repeatedly as the favorite; you’ve been warned.

FIFTH: Royal Ekati is training with a purpose for first start since gelded; set for best. Arthur Avenue has finished second in last two starts; continues trend? The Orphan Miracle took backward step in last after improved third in previous start; rebound potential.

SIXTH: Lord of Love gets class relief and owns field’s fastest late-pace figures on best efforts. Springers Point is speedy and owns a win on the Big A sod; very interesting. Eidmilaad makes first start after more layoff of more than a year for Chad Brown; must respect. Intensity, also from the Brown barn, has logged fast numbers in all three starts; logical, short-priced player.

SEVENTH: Awesome Quick goes turf to dirt and is 1-for-1 on the Big A loam; call based on price. Natalie Victoria makes first start since claimed by David Jacobson; serious, front-end threat. Da Wildcat Girl packs potent late kick and fired half-mile bullet on Oct. 26; worth long look at long odds.

EIGHTH: Revved Up consistently earns the field’s fastest final fractions. Moss Code is training sharply and is 1-for-1 on Aqueduct turf; price will be tempting. Made in Detroit is a front-running threat on best efforts.

NINTH: Single Heist fired half-mile bullet since speed and fade in debut; tighter today. Concatulations gets rider upgrade and has been gelded since last start; improvement predicted. Appealing Henry was a tough-trip fifth in last; very interesting. A J Big Boy compiled tight work tab for debut; follow the money.
